This project involved the design, fabrication, and factory completion of a compact steam primary Low Temperature Hot Water heat exchanger package, fully assembled on a stainless steel skid and delivered ready for installation on site. The objective was to provide a reliable and efficient interface between an existing steam supply and a new LTHW heating circuit, while minimising site installation time and commissioning risk.
A fully skid mounted steam to LTHW heat exchanger package was designed and manufactured, incorporating:
Steam primary side with isolation valves, control valve, pressure gauges, safety relief valve, steam trap set, and condensate return connections
Plate heat exchanger sized for the required thermal duty and operating pressures
LTHW secondary side complete with circulation pump, isolation valves, pressure instrumentation, and drain/fill points.
All interconnecting pipework fabricated in stainless steel with flanged connections for ease of installation
A rigid stainless steel support frame with adjustable feet for accurate on-site positioning
The package was assembled, pressure tested, and visually inspected in the workshop prior to dispatch.
