Project Overview
We were engaged by a large food production facility in the the South of England to design, build, and install a mobile CIP unit along with associated stainless steel pipework systems for tanks and filler lines. The facility needed a flexible, hygienic cleaning solution to service multiple processing lines with minimal downtime.
Client Requirements & Challenges
The CIP system had to clean multiple process lines; mixing tanks, holding vessels, filler lines.
The system needed to be mobile so it could be moved between zones.
All materials had to comply with food-grade standards: 316L stainless steel, sanitary finishes, hygienic fittings.
The piping routing was complex: tight spaces, existing plant infrastructure, multiple elevation changes.
Client demanded minimal disruption to ongoing production; shutdown windows were limited.
Outcomes & Benefits
The client achieved significant reduction in CIP cycle times, reducing downtime on production lines.
Improved cleaning performance and reliability.
Flexibility: the mobile unit can serve multiple zones, making future expansion easier.
- The smooth commissioning and minimal disruption meant our client was able to keep production throughout.
