This project involved the design, fabrication, and factory completion of a compact steam primary Low Temperature Hot Water heat exchanger package, fully assembled on a stainless steel skid and delivered ready for installation on site. The objective was to provide a reliable and efficient interface between an existing steam supply and a new LTHW heating circuit, while minimising site installation time and commissioning risk.

A fully skid mounted steam to LTHW heat exchanger package was designed and manufactured, incorporating:

  • Steam primary side with isolation valves, control valve, pressure gauges, safety relief valve, steam trap set, and condensate return connections

  • Plate heat exchanger sized for the required thermal duty and operating pressures

  • LTHW secondary side complete with circulation pump, isolation valves, pressure instrumentation, and drain/fill points.

  • All interconnecting pipework fabricated in stainless steel with flanged connections for ease of installation

  • A rigid stainless steel support frame with adjustable feet for accurate on-site positioning

The package was assembled, pressure tested, and visually inspected in the workshop prior to dispatch.
